“ABC Dream It and Do It”
I admit that ever since the start of my professional career, I have LOVED exhibiting at conferences and other live vendor events. It was always easier, in previous positions, to do it on someone else’s dime (but with expectations that I would always put our best efforts forward). Now, being an independent entrepreneur, I am having to make hard choices on where best to use my financial resources. Many don’t understand what goes into attending a LIVE event. Exhibitor fees, Merchandise Costs, Display Costs, Marketing Costs, Product Donations, Travel, and Lodging are all things that come into making these hard decisions. A consultant recently advised me to 1) always start closest to home and 2) to partner with others when the opportunity presents itself. Since much of our work is in the early childhood education space, we always take an “ABC Dream It and Do It” position. So I am excited to announce that...
Soon we’ll be returning to the Annual Cincinnati Montessori Society Conference to be held March 1 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington, KY. Last year was our first opportunity to be part of this event as an exhibitor and we had a wonderful time meeting attendees and offering great products for use in the classroom and at home. We’ve got so many new things to showcase this year that you’ll be able to purchase on the spot. And of course, there is a social-emotional component as well. In addition to our exhibit space, our partner, DAVID KISOR from Growing Sound Music will be presenting a workshop titled MUSIC FOR A MONTESSORI ENVIRONMENT: Songs that Nurture the Self-Directed Child. This workshop earns you KY-Tris and OH-OCCRA credit hours depending on your location. And it’s so fun too! Our product selection will be a great match to the info you’ll gather in this session. We are also, especially excited, to announce that we will be exhibiting at the OHAEYC Conference in April. Again, in partnership with David Kisor/Growing Sound Music! This event will take place April 24-26 at the Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, OH. David Kisor will be presenting 3 fun-filled interactive sessions at this event. You don’t want to miss it if you work in an early learning environment. So much singing, dancing and movement. All 3 sessions have been OCCRA Approved! Between sessions, you can enjoy shopping for great books, toys and gifts selected especially for children, birth-age 8 at the Growing Sound Play and Learn exhibitor booth. All products will be available for purchase on the spot with a great tie-in to David’s workshops that promote positive well-being and well-doing. Another can’t miss event! We’re still dreaming about the day we can branch out and have the resources to participate in other local, regional and national education focused events. You can help us reach that goal by shopping at our Growing Sound Play and Learn website, or by contacting us about a speaker/exhibitor opportunity via email (growingsoundmusic@aol.com)
Watch our social media pages for additional announcements of other local vendor events for the Spring and Summer season.
Of course, if you ever want to drop us a note you can do so via email, or through our contact page. We welcome your feedback, comments, collaborations, and encouragement. info@gsplayandlearn.com
