“No Rain…No Flowers”
In case you didn’t know, the Growing Sound Play and Learn hub is based in the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati regional area. Just like our friends in Central Kentucky and other parts of the country (for that matter), it’s been raining here A LOT. Flooding in some areas has become “unprecedented”, “devastating” and “overwhelming”. Rising waters have engulfed us, saturated us and have disrupted normal life and activities for many. But every rainstorm eventually runs out of water and landscapes begin to take shape again. We are left to embrace the old saying, "April showers bring May flowers.” Our emotions are a lot like these rainstorms and flooding (in a sense) becomes part of our emotional process. But no rain, means no flowers.
Here are some images (borrowed from social media) that give you a visual of our surrounding area.
Ironically, Easter happens to Fall this year in the month of April. Easter represents a time of making all things new again. Although we don’t include a lot of seasonal products on our website, we have been having fun introducing them to shoppers through our partnership with Painted Tree Boutiques in Cincinnati/Montgomery/Harpers Point. (D10 and S12).
We also had the opportunity to create the vendor window for April at this location where we were able to work together with other small business vendors and create a visual experience for customers entering our location. This takes the whole concept of #worktogetherwednesday introduced during NAEYC Week of the Young Child 2025 to a wonderful sharing experience. (Not the best photo but enough to get a sense.) Once again also reminding us that after the rain comes the flowers.
And, if by chance you are still looking for some fun products to embrace the joy of Spring, check out these items available on the website and/or in the boutique store.
