Year End Reflections
As I am posting this blog for December, we are just 15 days away from Christmas, and just 21 days ‘til the end of the year. Even though we haven’t shipped all our website orders yet and we are still restocking our brick and mortar location…I’ve already started my time of reflection.
When you start a new year, you have this straight-forward path/vision filled with high hopes, dreams and expectations. Throughout the annual journey things get curvy. The road changes. You experience highs and lows. You even hit bumps…a lot of them. But perseverance and commitment keep you moving forward. I know when I struggle, I remind myself that by the grace of God, we will end the year with the celebration of the birth of our Savior, and then at 12:00 midnight on Dec 31st, the clock will turn over to start again. These two things alone can sustain me.
I wanted to share just a few insights not only that I’ve learned during this year but that I can carry with me for all the days of my life.
- Slow down
- Honor what was.
- Take full responsibility.
- Close Chapters.
- Make space for new things.
- Remember the basics.
- Embrace your why.
- Refresh your mind and body.
- Be consistent.
- Respect Yourself and your Efforts.
- Show up for those who have less than you.
- Spend time with family and friends.
- Celebrate EVERYTHING.
Thank you again for supporting this small business venture. I know we are not over yet and that wonderful things are ahead for us. We’re prepared for a curvy road, but next year we’ll do it with more LOVE. Because what’s the point without it?
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
