“You’re Never Too Old for Anything”

At the beginning of this month, I had the opportunity to go “home” to celebrate my father’s 90th birthday! Despite the long car trip, it was indeed a blessing to be there with family and friends; many who also came from long distances. My Dad has taught me so much about life and how he lives by this motto (which he learned in the Marine Corp): Improvise-Adapt-Overcome. I’ve reflected a lot on these three things lately and how I can apply them to my own life, and the life of my business. And then suddenly it popped up in front of me. A quote, by the late great actress Betty White, who said “You’re NEVER too old for ANYTHING.” Explore a new hobby. Learn a new skill. Travel to see something different. Build new relationships. Refine an existing talent. Study a new language. Dance to stay active. Visit the zoo. Embrace your creativity. Volunteer for an organization. Spend time with children. Play games. Color in a coloring book. Make a craft. The list of ideas is truly endless and so many of these ideas fit our business mission too. PLAY AND LEARN. That’s really the root of it from birth-age 90+!

Who doesn't deserve a fun gift every now and then? Here are a few suggestions on great gift items that might work for older individuals.
